CoLab Printing was founded by Aaron and Andy, two middle school teachers that both have a passion for the outdoors and design. With a desire to get into screen printing, they set up shop in their own backyard, funded by a lucrative Kickstarter campaign. What started out as a hobby quickly turned into a successful side project.
Still a small company, Aaron and Andy take pride in handling every aspect of production, from designing the prints, to creating the shirts, and mailing them directly to you. When we met up with Aaron, he was emphatic that this project isn’t about making money. To him, this is about doing something he loves, encouraging others to get outdoors, and providing people with a quality product that they will love.
Not only have they come up with several unique, trendy, and outdoorsy designs, but the shirts themselves are made of high quality material, and are extremely comfortable. We’ve taken these shirts out for ourselves, and we have absolutely loved them! They’re light and durable, making them the perfect shirt to go climbing or hiking in, or even just lounge around the house. The shirt I received from them is now a favorite of mine.
Aaron and Andy are both extremely talented designers. The designs they have come up with have been quite popular both on their Etsy store, where they originally started, and their own site. When I first browsed through their selection, just looking at the designs made me want to drop all responsibility, get outdoors, and explore Utah. We are ecstatic to see what future designs they will come up with.
